The Grundy Foundation is gearing up to launch its very own e-newsletter, which will highlight Foundation-wide activities like the ones below. Electronic distribution is set to begin in May, and we're eager to share all Grundy stories with you!
Did you know that in 2023, Grundy Library welcomed 507 attendees to 54 programs designed especially for older adults? These inclusive events ranged from story times and crafts tailored for individuals with dementia and memory loss, to tech help sessions, book discussions, genealogy workshops, and even Tai Chi classes. Grundy Library is committed to serving its diverse community with engaging and enriching activities.
For those who love a challenge, mark your calendars! Grundy Library's in-person Trivia Nights are back on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM, held quarterly. The next one is on April 17th, featuring a Harry Potter theme to coincide with the ongoing "Renaissance Science, Magic, and Medicine in Harry Potter’s World" exhibit, running from April 8th to May 18th. Visit our website herefor registration details.
As for Grundy Museum, we've been hard at work during the winter months. The Museum is closed from January to March for its annual historic housekeeping routine, where staff meticulously inspect and clean all collections. Some items are even placed in storage to make way for new exhibitions. We're excited to announce that the Museum will reopen its doors on April 2nd, showcasing refurbished fireplaces in three rooms. See if you can spot the ones that received conservation and restorative care during your visit. For more information on tours and programs, visit our website here.
But that's not all! In 2024, the Grundy Foundation has already provided $100,000 in funding to select Bristol Borough nonprofits. We're proud to support our local community and contribute to its growth and vitality.
If you're curious about the various ways Grundy impacts the community it serves, sign up for our newsletter by completing the form linked below. Rest assured, we never sell or disseminate personal or contact information. Subscribing to the newsletter does not imply endorsement, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Join us in staying connected and informed about all things Grundy! Together, let's celebrate the richness of our community and the contributions we make.
