A Message from the Library Director Dear Bristol Borough Community and Grundy Patrons, Greetings from the Grundy Library Staff! While the library building is still closed to the public, the Library is open for curbside services. You can place holds online or call us during regular hours for assistance. We are happy to help you find what you are looking for! Then simply pick up materials at the library's entrance. You can also visit our website to see all the virtual resources, services and programs we offer. We are still undergoing construction and have experienced several unexpected delays beyond anyone’s control. We are working to resolve these as quickly as possible. While we can’t say for sure, we are hoping to reopen sometime this summer. As soon as we have a firm reopening date, we will update everyone via this monthly newsletter. If you do not already receive it, you can sign up for our eNewsletter here. We know it’s been difficult for our patrons and the community to have the library building closed for such an extended period of time. We miss seeing everyone and are looking forward to attending outreach events this spring and summer so please look for us at the local fairs and festivals -and be sure to stop and say “hello.” Here are some of the exciting things you can look forward to when we reopen: new elevator and study rooms, updated restrooms, a snack zone, fresh paint and new carpeting, and an updated rooftop area with pergolas, plantings, green spaces, benches, umbrella tables, and more! There are other improvements happening on the exterior as well. If you stop by, you can see the outdoor work currently in progress. While here, check out the renderings of what it will look like when the project is complete. Those renderings can also be viewed on the Grundy Foundation website. Thank you for all your support and understanding. We look forward to seeing you soon! Dana Barber Library Director
