Children and their families are invited to join us for a virtual panel discussion about light pollution with members of the Bucks-Mont Astronomical Association (BMA2).
Topics include the effects light pollution has on humans and nature, its effects on astronomy, and ways we can help limit light pollution in our communities. Following the discussion, attendees will have a chance to participate in a Q & A with panelists James Cook, Francesca Santini, Bill DuBell, and Dwight Dulsky.
Lastly, we'll take some time to go over the new citizen science kits available for check out at the library. One kit is "Measuring Light in the Night Sky" and the second is "Biodiversity."
All attendees will be automatically entered to win a small prize: a planisphere and a copy of The Field Guide to Citizen Science.
