Celebrating Libraries National Library Week is underway! This annual celebration aims to highlight the valuable role that libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening communities. This year’s theme is Ready, Set, Library! Even though much of our world is online, libraries give us the green light to something truly special: a place to connect with others, learn new skills, and focus on what matters most. No matter where you are in life, your library is an inclusive and supportive community to inspire lifelong learning! At the Santa Clara County Library District, you belong, connect and discover. Libraries are there for you, all the way to the finish line! National Library Week runs through Saturday, April 13. There are several celebration days during the week: April 8: Right to Read Day is a National Day of Action in support of the right to read. The State of America's Libraries Report is released, including Top Ten Most Challenged Books of 2023. April 9: National Library Workers Day is a day to recognize the valuable contributions made by library workers. Stop by your local library and let us know what you enjoy the most about the library! Check out this video created to show our appreciation to staff.
