We are hosting a number of online programs and events that will engage and entertain people of all ages! Earn a prize for reading and completing fun discovery and investigative activities this summer. Reading is a great way to keep kids' skills sharp over the summer and as they continue to distance learn.

Chemistry in the Kitchen
Create a scrumptious science experiment on Thursday at 3 p.m. on Facebook. 
 
Discover how and why changing the ingredients in a quick, microwave cake-in-a-mug recipe affects the finished product!
 
You'll need all-purpose flour, white sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, milk (or a substitute), canola oil (or olive oil), water, and vanilla extract. 
 Spotlight on Special Performances
Our Summer Reading Spotlight is on two special performances happening this week!
 
Enjoy juggling, acrobatics, music, comedy, and more with Coventry and Kaluza’s Circus Show for Kids! They’ll be performing live on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
 
Then, rock out with Latin Grammy-winning musical duo 123 Andrés in a virtual concert for the little ones on Saturday at 11 a.m.
 
Both of these live performances will be streamed on SCCLD's Facebook page.

The final installment of our Parenting During the Pandemic series takes place this Wednesday at 12 p.m.
