The Discovery of a Masterpiece Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) was a French sculptor who some call the greatest portraitist in the history of sculpture with works like The Thinker and The Kiss. One of his pieces made its way to the Hartley Dodge Memorial in New Jersey, where it had been hidden away for decades until Mallory Mortillaro uncovered it while cataloging artwork. It would take a year of research before it was authenticated as an official work of Rodin. Join us for a special virtual event with Mortillaro on Thursday, November 18 to hear more. Register for this Zoom event here. Find books about Rodin in the library.
