StoryWalk® at Milpitas Library We are happy to announce the StoryWalk® Project has expanded to the Milpitas Library. A StoryWalk® includes pages taken directly from a children's book, mounted and installed along an outdoor path. As you walk down the path, you are encouraged to read and follow the story along the way. The selected book for the StoryWalk® is Walking in a Winter Wonderland, a picture book that celebrates winter, using the lyrics of the song Winter Wonderland by Felix Bernard and Richard B. Smith. The StoryWalk® starts at the front of the Milpitas Grammar School and ends near the entrance of the library on Main Street. It will be on display until Monday, December 20. StoryWalk® was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Vermont.

Flu Shots Available It is recommended that people aged 6 months and older get a flu vaccine. The flu strains that circulate in our communities change over time, so it is important to be protected. The vaccine is a safe and effective way to reduce your chance of being hospitalized with severe flu. This is even more important because of COVID-19. People can get flu shots through their regular doctor or at Valley Medical Center clinics and pharmacies. Find the flu vaccine clinic schedule for people 12+ here. We also have information about the COVID-19 vaccine available here.
