Join SCCLD's Read Woke Challenge There's been a heightened awareness of social justice and empathy for those who have suffered oppression. In response, we are launching a new reading challenge called Read Woke. Our librarians have created a number of booklists addressing an injustice, or featuring a protagonist from a disenfranchised or underrepresented group. We are challenging patrons to read two books from any of these booklists and log them on Beanstack. People who complete the challenge will be entered to win a prize. The Read Woke challenge runs through September 30.
