Thank You, Ed! Ed Rose, chair of the Mary Riley Styles Library Foundation, has retired after 18 years as a director. He spent years building the Foundation into what it is now. The Foundation thanks him with deep appreciation for his service. The Board has elected Jess Sabo as the new Chair.

Started in 2004 around founder Chet De Long's kitchen table with the goal of supporting our local library, the Foundation has grown into a 501(c)(3) charitable corporation with revenues from generous patrons of the library and with earnings from a growing endowment. The Foundation is fulfilling its mission by financing library needs that cannot be met with city funding. During Rose's tenure, the Foundation has supported the popular Summer Reading Program; Freegal, the music service of the library; and many other library programs. The Foundation contributed to the renovated library with a large wall mural in the children's room and with new furniture. Rose was a careful steward of the Foundation's endowment, which will be a source of future support to the library. We are always looking for ways to contribute to the library's growing book and electronic collection. The Library Foundation accepts donations from corporations and from lovers of the library at mrsplfoundation.org, or by mail at P.O. Box 321, Falls Church, VA 22040
