National Teacher of the Year
Encourages Students to #GetCarded

In celebration of Library Card Sign-Up Month, the 2021 National Teacher of the Year, Juliana Urtubey, encourages all students to sign up for a FREE library card. It's their all access pass to hundreds of online resources and tools for school success, which will help them throughout the school year. And of course, Juliana loves the library! For a list of her favorite books, click HERE.

Greetings from the Executive Director

September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month, and if you are reading this, you are a library cardholder who already knows the power of a FREE library card! Please share our Library Highlights eNewsletter with your family, friends, and neighbors, so that they can learn about that power, too.

And if this email was forwarded to you, the person who sent it is introducing you to a wonderful world of discovery. Our executive director Kelvin Watson encourages you to take the Library District’s #GetCarded Challenge, and sign up for an Instant eCard, which gives you immediate access to thousands of our online books, movies, music, and so much more. Or for a traditional library card, which adds the option to check out items from a library branch, stop by any of our 25 library locations and choose one of our six designs, which include the official cards of the Vegas Golden Knights and the Las Vegas Lights FC.
