Bus Riders Now Enjoy FREE Movies, Magazines, Ebooks & More

Bus riders in the Las Vegas metropolitan area can now access free movies, magazines, ebooks, and audiobooks thanks to a new partnership between the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) and the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District. Using the RTC’s free on board WiFi, riders can download the easy-to-use Libby app onto any mobile device, and enjoy hundreds of options to read and watch during their commute, at home, or anywhere on the go!

But this great new app isn’t limited to bus riders … anyone can download it and start enjoying a portion of our library materials, just by going to LVCCLD.org/Anywhere.

Kids & Teens: Introducing Axis 360 For All Your Digital Books!

Axis 360 is your one-stop destination for ebooks and audiobooks for kids and teens. Available free with your library card, it’s our newest online resource and it makes the hunt for your next great read so easy, including popular fiction and nonfiction titles. Axis 360 will be replacing the OverDrive and the Libby app for accessing kids & teens titles. Please make note of your wish list and holds in Overdrive now and then starting on October 1, you can go to Axis 360 to start placing new holds! Here’s the timing:
  • October 1, 2021: Kids & teens ebooks will move to the Axis 360 website and app, and you can begin enjoying these materials.
  • October 13, 2021: Kids & teens audiobooks will then make the same move, and the transition will be complete.
  • January 2022: This transition to Axis 360 will also make it possible for CCSD students to access kids & teens titles directly through the school's Destiny Discover platform using their student ID, an important partnership for all!
Click HERE for more information about this transition to Axis 360.
