Get Your Passport at the Library
 
Ready to travel again? A passport is your ticket to adventure! Services are available at Windmill Library on Tuesday, November 2 from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Available services include: first-time passport book, first-time passport card, passport photos, and passport renewal (please call the branch at 702.507.6036 for renewal requirements). In October 2020, during the height of the pandemic, the Employ NV Business Hub opened its doors at the Sahara West Library. This employer-focused center offers many services under one roof and helps small business owners create, build, and grow their dream!
 
Another Employ NV Business Hub, located inside the Vegas Chamber, opened at the same time and together, these innovative, economic engines have helped more than nearly 300 Southern Nevada businesses thrive. The business hubs provide one-stop expertise and convenience, helping employers tap into the no-cost services and funding available through the public workforce development system!  In addition, two new Employ NV Business Hubs opened this month inside Henderson City Hall and North Las Vegas City Hall. Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival is Back at Clark County Library
 
Still the most popular comic fest in the west, the Vegas Valley Comic Book Festival returns for its 13th year of superheroes, cosplay, workshops, and much, much, more! Don’t miss a minute of the action on Saturday, November 6 at the Clark County Library. You’ll find our vendor courtyard filled with comic book stores and craft makers, and our Artist Alley, where you can meet and support local and national creators. Be sure to dress in your finest cosplay and enjoy crafts, food trucks, workshops and lectures, movies, and music all day long. It’s everything you could want in a comic book festival and it’s FREE to attend. Join us for this annual celebration of all things comics!
