Dungeons & Dragons

Join our weekly after-school D&D group, which is open to new and experienced players! The two Dungeon Masters alternate weeks, so it would be best to pick one D&D campaign and come every other week, so you stay with one DM and epic journey.

Art Workshop

On your day off school on October 9th, come to an Art Workshop led by professional artist Kyle White! His Sketchbook and Nature Workshop will help you stop and listen to nature around you. Afterward, feel free to stay for Teen Time.
Reading Buddies Training

We are planning our Reading Buddies program again in which teens are paired with children to read with and make a craft.  We will be planning and prepping the craft at this meeting. Please make sure that you will be available on November 16th, which will be the date of the Reading Buddies program!
Murder Mystery

Ready for our third annual Murder Mystery?! Join us on October 27th for a Star Wars-inspired Murder in the Nir Cantina. You will be emailed your role in mid-October, and then you need to stop by the library to pick up the instruction sheet for your character. A pizza dinner will be provided at this after-hours event. Come in costume!

Virtual Reality

We have a new VR headset! Middle school and high school youth can sign up for 15-minute sessions during Teen Time. We have several games already downloaded, but let Nancy know what other games you'd like for the VR.
 Banned Books Week

We support your freedom to read! We have all of the most challenged books from the previous year because the Byron Library values free and open access to information. Banned Books Week is October 1st-7th, so look for a book display in the teen department then.
