Professional storyteller Mary Jo Maichack is offering a new presentation recommended for older teens and adults, a live Zoom reading of three short stories from J.D. Salinger’s Nine Stories, followed by a participant discussion of the work. “Three of Nine” Zoom interactive programs will take place on three Mondays of May. You do not need to pre-read, but of course, do so if you wish. Come, listen to classic contemporary fiction. Your perceptions are welcome!
This program is supported in part by a grant from the Lakeville Arts Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
In the GREAT PONDS GALLERY at the Lakeville Public Library
"Graphite and Charcoal" by George Ferreira
Exhibit runs through May 27th
The Great Ponds Gallery will welcome a second exhibit of graphite and charcoal by Berkley resident George Ferreira. Mr. Ferreira's exhibit will display all the subtle values of black and white and everything in-between. These mediums portray how the artist sees the lights and darkness effecting form and textures that are of interest to him.
Visitors are required to wear a mask while inside the building and are reminded to socially distance with any other people viewing the exhibit when they visit.
