Hello, Fall! Are you welcoming the change in season with a renewed energy? Do you want to try something new--tackling a home project, studying a new language, learning meditation or yoga, or taking up a hew hobby? We are here for you!
After Labor Day, the library will be open on Saturdays again for your convenience. We will continue to offer options for all the ways you like to read and learn: print books, eBooks, audiobooks, video, and online streaming platforms.

Take-Home Crafts Weekly Starting September 19th Each week, we will feature a different take-home craft for kids. All crafts are fun, easy to make, and can be picked up at the Tuesday morning storytime or any time in the children's room.

Talk Like a Pirate Day! Monday, September 19 at 4 pm Aaarrh! Calling on all you scurvy sea dogs to join us for Talk Like a Pirate Day! The afternoon will feature such rollicking stories as When the Wild Pirates Go Sailing by Kees Moerbeek, pirate riddles, tattoos, and a pirate treasure hunt! Don't forget to come dressed as a pirate too! Ages 4 and up.

Family LEGO Night Tuesday, September 20 at 6 pm Join us for this month's Family LEGO NIght as we challenge you to build a LEGO Spaceship! We have thousands of LEGOs for you to create with. All you need bring is your creativity and imagination! The evening will include a raffle for some fun prizes. Recommended for ages 4 and up.

BEAM! Thursdays from 4 -5 pm Check out BEAM, the library's new interactive, virtual playground that makes entertainment lively, energetic and above all TONS of fun! Choose from several exciting games to play, including Bath Trouble, Hopscotch, Lumberjacks, Aliens vs. Scientists and more! Recommended for ages 4 and up!

Teen Game Night Tuesday, October 4 at 6 pm Join us on the first Tuesday of the month for our ongoing Teen Game Night! Consoles and multiplayer games such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Super Mario Party will be available. We have a Nintendo Switch. Bringing your own handheld devices and controllers is encouraged, the more the merrier!

Super Smash Bros Ultimate Tournament Saturday, September 17, 11 am Join us at the library for our third Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament! Rise through the ranks and come out on top against other Smash Bros. fans and meet new people! This program is intended for tweens and teens between ages 10-18. Wire Wrapped Jewelry Workshop Thursday, September 29 at 6 pm Create your own jewelry with Stephanie Enloe from Craftyish / Beachside Baubles & Beads. You will learn the basics of wire wrap techniques, and you'll be able to create your own unique designs from the different materials we'll have available. A Cup of Tea Saturday, October 1 at 2 pm The Delvena Theatre Company presents "A Cup of Tea," an original play set in the World War II London Blitz. An upper-class British lady keeps one little theatre alive by doing an oh-so-tasteful unclothed show for the boys while the bombings shake the stage. This program is sponsored by the Fall River Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.

Astro Bees! Thursday, October 6 at 6 pm Join Robert Astro, a New England beekeeper for the past 3 years, as he shares his knowledge and experiences with his unique hobby. The evening will include a brief film presentation of Mr. Astro's hives as well as a review of the unique tools and equipment required for this field. It's sure to "bee" an unusual evening. Bring your questions and curiosity to this fascinating presentation!

Sci-Fi & Fantasy Book Club Tuesday, September 20 at 6 pm Do you love reading about other worlds? Join fellow fantasy/SF fans for our first-ever Fantasy & Sci-Fi Book Club meeting!
