Dighton Public Library
November 2024
In addition to our regularly scheduled children's programming throughout November, the Library will also be offering free community yoga on Thursdays up until November 14th at Old Town Hall from 10:30 to 11:30. During a special meeting of the Library Board of Trustees on October 24th, the Friends of the Dighton Public Library presented a check in the amount of $10,000 to the Library Board of Trustees for the new Library at 207 Main Street. The check is a donation of funds raised as a result of the second annual golf tournament sponsored by the Friends. The Trustees, staff, and all of our patrons are extremely grateful for not only the hard work of the Friends, but deeply appreciate their steadfast support and dedication. For more information about the Friends, their upcoming events, or for details on how to become a member, visit their website and stay up to date on all the good work they do in support of the Library and its operations.
Renovation Photographs of 207 Main Street
The fireplace that will serve as the centerpiece of our new Reading Room was restored to its original brick by means of sandblasting in order to remove the modern black and white paint.
