Board of Library Trustees The Mansfield Public Library would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Nancy Breef-Pilz who is ending her tenure on the Board of Library Trustees after serving 36 years. Ms. Breef-Pilz has been an integral part of the Board since 1987. In that time she has served as a dedicated advocate for the Mansfield Public Library in fulfilling its mission of encouraging thoughtful and engaging discourse, nurturing creativity and imagination, supporting lifelong learning, and providing safe, comfortable, and welcoming spaces for all. Nancy served various positions during her tenure including Treasurer and Chairperson. She guided the library through many changes over the years including the redesign of the Quiet Area and the Children’s Room, the introduction of the Teen Space, the new RFID circulation and security system, and many 5-year Strategic Plans. Her depth of institutional knowledge will be greatly missed by the Board. At the Board meeting in December, Ms. Breef-Pilz was presented with certificates of recognition for her years of service from the Massachusetts State Senate and House of Representative. The Mansfield Public Library is grateful to Ms. Breef-Pilz for the countless hours she gave on behalf of the Library. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors.
