LIBRARY NEWS
Technical Services Associate Toni Leverone is retiring in February. We thank her for her 30 years of service to the citizens of Hanson and wish her well in her retirement!

Congratulations to Reference Librarian Julia Nee, who is taking on a new role at the Library in February as Assistant Director and Adult Services Librarian. We’re looking forward to working with her in this position to bring new programs and services to residents.
 
February is Library Lovers Month

Fine Free
Start a new chapter this year at the Library, since we are now fine free! We will no longer charge overdue fines for most items and we are waiving past overdue fines. Learn more here!
 
Masks Required
As a reminder: per the Hanson Board of Selectmen, a face mask is required for visiting the Library and all town buildings. 
 
Support the Boston Bruins 15th Annual PJ Drive!
The Hanson Public Library has teamed up with the Boston Bruins to participate in their annual pajama drive to benefit DCF Wonderfund and Cradles to Crayons. Bring a pair of pajamas to the library from February 1 to March 31. Learn more here!

Reading is more fun than ever with our beginning reader program:
Adopt a Reading Buddy! 
Here's how it works: 
1. Sign up for the Adopt a Reading Buddy program 
2. Stop by the Library to fill in an adoption application for your pet reading buddy starting October 18th
3. Take your reading buddy home and care for them by reading for at least 15 minutes a day for 20 days
4. Use the reading log to keep track of your reading time
5. Upon completion of reading 15 minutes a day for 20 days, bring your reading log into the library to receive a completed Reading Buddy Beanie Baby Certificate of Adoption!
