Petting Zoo! Join us to kick off our Summer Reading program "Read Beyond the Beaten Path." Animal Affair, the zoo that comes to you, will be here with their adorable barn babies! Sign up to pet the bunnies, baby goats and piglets. To make sure we don't overwhelm the animals we will be booking 15 minute petting increments starting at 10:00am until 12:00pm. Please only come for the time slot you signed up for. Rockland Trust will be here promoting their Reading Makes Cents program and you can also sign up for all of our other exciting reading programs and events happening over the summer months!

Reading is more fun than ever with our beginning reader program: Adopt a Reading Buddy! Here's how it works: 2. Stop by the Library to fill in an adoption application for your pet reading buddy 3. Take your reading buddy home and care for them by reading for at least 15 minutes a day for 20 days 4. Use the reading log to keep track of your reading time 5. Upon completion of reading 15 minutes a day for 20 days, bring your reading log into the library to receive a completed Reading Buddy Beanie Baby Certificate of Adoption! Trivia Night 2022! Sign up now for the Hanson Public Library Foundation's Ninth Annual Trivia Night! Join us for this delightfully fun night answering brain-tickling questions and mingling with friends and neighbors! Trivia Teams can reserve a table for $120 (up to 8 people). Individuals may register for $15 per person and will be seated at a table with other players. Proceeds from the evening will provide exciting programs for all ages at the Hanson Public Library.
