'Tis the Season For Giving

Unwrapped Gifts Accepted through December15

In collaboration with South Shore Foster Closet, the Bridgewater Public Library will be collecting unwrapped gifts for foster teens. Grab a tag or two from one of our giving trees the next time you visit the library and then bring back the unwrapped gift by December 15th. 

Can't Make it to the Library?

We get it! Its the busiest season of the year. You don't need a gift tag to participate. You can choose an item from our wish list and bring it back (unwrapped) before December 15th!

Come in and have some fun with Big Ryan! Big Ryan's toddler program focuses on Puppet Play and Music and Movement. This program usually runs for about 25 to 30 minutes. No registration required.

This program is supported in part by a grant from the Bridgewater Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Join us for a showing of Miracle on 34th Street (1947), not rated, 1 hour 36 minutes. Enjoy complimentary popcorn and snacks.

After a divorced New York mother hires a nice old man to play Santa Claus at Macy's, she is startled by his claim to be the genuine article. When his sanity is questioned, a lawyer defends him in court by arguing that he's not mistaken.

Join us for this 30 minute class designed for caregivers and their children (ages 6 weeks to pre-crawling) with certified yoga instructor Jennifer Lynn of Nurtured Roots, LLC. Join Jennifer and connect with your infant, as well as with other adults in their community, through gentle movement, song and discussion. 


Please bring a yoga mat for yourself and a blanket/car seat for baby.

The TaleSpinners encourage all sorts of writing: memoir, poetry, short stories, and/or novels. Thy engage in gentle, helpful, and encouraging critiques of one another’s writing, and everyone gets a chance to share their work. All are welcome to attend!

This Sunday, Christmas on the Common will take place, a festive gathering of vendors, food, activities and fun for the entire family. Once again, the Library Trustees will be giving out gently used, wrapped books for free. Please stop by our tables, say hello and let your child or teen select a book to take home. Perhaps you will find a book for yourself too, as we will also have books for the adults.
