Join Ashley in this series of fitness seminars, Fit for Life! Come to just one class or join every week! Owner and Founder of @thegetfitgym, Ashley and her team are here to help you work on yourself both holistically as well as through workouts that anyone can do.
Each week there will be a seminar surrounding our busy lives, meal planning and nutrition, as well as overall stress reduction and building healthy habits. Following each seminar, Ashley and her team will hold a workout class to get you moving in the right direction.
Kids are welcome! We have a separate space where they will be with a trainer focusing on stretching, light yoga, and exercise.
Comfortable clothes and water bottle recommended.

Join us for a paranormal investigation talk with Don DeCristofaro, from the Greater Boston Paranormal Associates which is located aboard USS Salem in Quincy, MA.
Learn about paranormal investigation, the equipment, and methodology. Plus the chance to view video/photographic evidence and listen to some audio! Hear stories about some interesting investigations, including from their base on the USS Salem and the entities who reside there.
Don will also discuss a disconcerting night spent in the Bridgewater Triangle - including some pictures! All ages welcome.

Bring your own projects and get started! All crafters/needlework fiber artists are welcome to join! Join this informal adult knitting group and be in the company of other fiber artists while you purl 1, knit 2.
This is not an instructional class but beginners are welcome to attend as experienced knitters are more than happy to share their wisdom.
So, if you want to learn a new hobby, please join us! Drop-in any time from 10:00AM to 1:00PM and stay as long as you'd like.

The TaleSpinners has existed for nearly twenty years and is open to all. The TaleSpinners meet on Thursdays, year round, from 1-3 PM in the Mary Jarvis Conference Room.
The TaleSpinners encourage all sorts of writing: memoir, poetry, short stories, and/or novels. The TaleSpinners write in all genres: mystery, thrillers, science fiction, romance, humor. We engage in gentle, helpful, and encouraging critiques of one another’s writing, and everyone gets a chance to share their work.
We ask each writer to come with copies of his/her work for the rest of the group to write their comments and suggestions upon.

Eve Costarelli, of Always Be Dancing, will lead this interactive, engaging program for families that will get everyone dancing! Everyone will have a body-stretching, hand-clapping, foot-stomping good time. This upbeat program is infused with music and dance of flamenco, participants will absorb the dramatic postures and colorful flavor of flamenco while also exploring yoga poses and mindfulness.
If all that wasn't enough already, there will also be an interactive story time with the wonderful picture book, Lola’s Fandango by Anne Witte.

Alexa Cushing's exhibition Devil's Swamp: Exploration of the Bridgewater Triangle will remain on display in the Flora T. Little Gallery through the month of October!
A reception will be held on Saturday, October 12 from 1:00-3:00 PM in the art gallery. All are welcome to join. No registration required.
| About the Artist |
Alexa Cushing is a photographic artist based in southern Massachusetts. She uses her photographs to explore the mythology of place, creating images that extract a sense of magic from the everyday landscape.
Alexa’s work has been a part of several group exhibitions at galleries and institutions such as The Griffin Museum of Photography, Panopticon Gallery, Candela Gallery, and the Oregon Contemporary. Her first solo exhibition was held at Aviary Gallery in the spring of 2019 and featured her project Due West, which examined mythology of Los Angeles as a dream factory.
Alexa’s work has been featured within various independent publications such as Rental Magazine, Incandescent Zine, and Polaris Magazine and online publications such as Lenscratch, Humble Arts, and C-41 Magazine.
Alexa holds a BFA in Photography from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She is also the owner and director of both Panopticon Imaging in Rockland MA and Panopticon Gallery in Boston MA. | About the Exhibit |
The Bridgewater Triangle is a region in southeastern Massachusetts that has been home to countless paranormal experiences, dating back to colonial times. This 200 square mile area is centered around Hockomock Swamp. Hockomock, in Wampanoag, means “place where spirits dwell”. Colonists simply referred to this area as “Devil’s Swamp."
Reports include sightings of unexplained ghostly figures, mysterious lights, UFOs, large prehistoric birds, and Native American monsters. The area is also a hotspot for crime, including cult activity and a string of gruesome murders in the 70s and 80s. Locals who are interested in this folklore believe that the area is an otherworldly portal into another dimension. Other believers claim that the history of war between Native Americans and colonists has cursed the land.
My work, Devils Swamp, is an investigation of my home region of Massachusetts. Is this area truly an otherworldly hotspot, or has the folklore of the Bridgewater Triangle become a way to connect and assign meaning to an otherwise wearisome working class community? My images examine the mythology of this place, and furthermore the residents’ desire to be apart of something greater than themselves. |

Check out Keeping a Journal in 1800s Bridgewater on display September through October! In our fall archival exhibit, we look at the practice of personal journaling in the 1800s through four diaries from the Bridgewater Public Library Archives.
Susan Storrs Washburn, Hannah Birchwood, Hannah Bassett, and Eli Washburn spent time each day writing in their journals. See how daily chores, primary school lessons, national news, & family relationships were recorded in Bridgewater in the middle of the 19th century.
