Storytime Mondays and Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. Toddlers (ages 2 to 5) and their caregivers can enjoy an interactive storytime with songs, dances, games, and stories that encourage language development and social skills. Each storytime is followed by a craft and play time.

Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Designed for babies and toddlers from 6 to 24 months, lapsits are a great chance for caregivers to bond with their child while learning new rhymes and stories to share. Each program includes stretches, music, a story, and more followed by an open play time.

Pages & Puppies Thursday, March 7th at 4:15 p.m. Readers of all ages may read to a certified therapy dog to develop their literacy and presentation skills as well as build confidence and self-esteem. This program provides a supportive environment to practice reading aloud. This is a drop-in event.

LEGO Club Tuesday, March 12th at 4 p.m. Build LEGO creations to a theme! Grades Pre-K - 5 (ages 5+) are welcome to come and build with the library LEGOs. LEGO Club is designed to give kids a safe, creative environment in which they can freely build with LEGOs, interact with peers, and express themselves! Each month has a challenge in which the builders can participate, but we encourage thinking outside of the box.

Kids Explore: Dinosaur Dig Tuesday, March 19th at 4 p.m. Grades 2-6 will be able to participate in prehistoric activities, including excavating their own dinosaur egg, all while learning about the famous paleontologist Mary Anning! Pajama Storytime Thursday, March 28th at 6 p.m. Ages 3-7 can join Miss Melissa in an evening storytime with the book My Name Is Not Isabella by Jennifer Fosberry followed by songs and a rocket ship pulley craft inspired by astronauts Mae Jemison and Sally Ride! Registration is encouraged, but drop-ins are welcome

Teen Trivia Night: Women's History Month Thursday, March 14th at 6 p.m. Grades 6-12 can join in an evening of trivia with prizes and popcorn for all! All questions will focus on amazing women in history and their achievements. Trivia will be hosted via an online site; please ensure you bring at least one Wi-Fi capable device per team. Teen Volunteer Night: Kitty Toys Thursday, March 21st at 6 p.m. Grades 6-12 can join in a volunteer event to create cat toys (kitty sachets) for local cats waiting for adoption. Crafted toys will be donated to the Standish Humane Society, a non-profit animal shelter in Southeastern Mass. Attendees may bring volunteer paperwork to be signed. Binary Code Bracelets All March in Children's Department Ada Lovelace wrote the first published computer program. Computers use a language called “code” and some computers “speak” different types of code. One basic code is Binary, where ALL information is translated into 1s and 0s. You can try Binary Code yourself by translating your initials then creating a colorful bracelet in Binary!
