Friday - Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Yoga
Every Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Led by Barbara Ward and other instructors from the YogaConnection of Plymouth. Open to all levels. A single-class drop-in is $12 and a four-class registration is $45 ($35 for Friends members). Friends members can also purchase an eight-class punch ticket for $80, which is valid for three months.
Monday Movie Matinee: News of the World
Monday, September 13th from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
A Civil War veteran agrees to deliver a girl, taken by the Kiowa people years ago, to her aunt and uncle, against her will. They travel hundreds of miles and face grave dangers as they search for a place that either can call home. Starring Tom Hanks. 118 minutes. Rated PG-13.
Musical Baseball Show
Tuesday, September 14th from 6-7 p.m.
Performing a unique, interactive and highly entertaining program, local singer-songwriter (and former sportswriter) Howie Newman will sing baseball songs, offer up baseball trivia, and tell stories about his days as a sportswriter on the Red Sox beat. Howie covered baseball for the Patriot Ledger, Lowell Sun, Boston Globe, and Lynn Item as well as several other newspapers and magazines. No registration required.

In 1800s England, a well meaning but selfish young woman meddles in the love lives of her friends. Starring Anya Taylor-Joy. 124 minutes. Rated PG.

Monday, September 27th from 1:30-3:00 p.m.
Following an unsettling experience in the wilderness, a grieving woman ventures deep into a remote region of Wyoming to pursue a fresh start, hoping to shift her perspective on the meaning of her life and reconcile her distress with her determination to continue living. Starring Robin Wright. 89 minutes. Rated PG-13.
Coyote Continent
Monday, September 27th from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Is That a “Coywolf” in My Back Yard?
This photography-based workshop follows the eastward expansion and hybridization of coyotes to the East Coast. This species was never found east of the Mississippi River before 1900. Coyotes seen in New England are larger than their western cousins and look more like a large German Shepherd. Presented by wildlife photographer Robert Michelson. No registration required.
Pembroke Public Library Book Club
Tuesday, October 5th from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
For our October meeting the PPL Book Club is reading Hidden Valley Road: Inside the Mind of an American Family by Robert Kolker, nonfiction about a midcentury American family with twelve children, six of them diagnosed with schizophrenia, that became science's great hope in the quest to understand the disease. New members are always welcome! Youth Events
 
Storytime
Mondays & Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. 
Toddlers (ages 2-5) and their caregivers can enjoy an interactive storytime with songs, dances, games, and stories that encourage language development and social skills. Each themed storytime is followed by a craft and play time.
Puppy Dog Tales
Thursday, September 9th from 4:15-5:00 p.m.
Readers of all ages may read to a certified therapy dog to develop their literacy and presentation skills as well as build confidence and self-esteem. This program provides a supportive environment to practice reading aloud. This is a drop-in event.
Perler Bead Craft
Kids (ages 6 - 12) on Wednesday, September 22nd from 4-5 p.m.
Teens (ages 12 - 18) on Thursday, September 23rd from 4-5 p.m.
Join us for an afternoon crafting with Perler/fusion beads! These meltable beads can be arranged on a pegboard to make almost any design; we'll melt them together and you can turn your creation into a magnet or keep it as a charm. Registration required; sign ups open two weeks before the event. Sign up through our online events calendar or by calling the library at 781-293-6771.
