SAILS App Currently Down As some patrons may have noticed the SAILS app is currently down. The network is aware of the issue and work is being done to fix the issue. That being said it may be up to a month before the app is able to be used once more. In the meantime, you can log into our online catalog through a web browser, either on your own device or through the library's computers. If you have any questions regarding using the online catalog, do not hesitate to ask us.

Pembroke Community Group Pajama DriveEnds Friday December 15th The Pembroke Community Group Pajama Drive is back! Running until December 15th, we will be collecting new pajamas with the tags still on. All sizes are needed, and slippers and robes are also welcome. Please leave all donations unwrapped or in a bag. Drop off at the library before the closing date!

Holiday Sale All December In celebration of the holiday season all holiday themed items at our book sale are half price. This includes Books, DVDs, CDs, Games, and Puzzles.

Monday Movie Matinee: It's a Wonderful Life Monday, December 4th at 1:30 p.m. In this holiday classic, an angel is sent from Heaven to help a desperately frustrated businessman by showing him what life would have been like if he had never existed. Pembroke Public Library Book Club Tuesday, December 5th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. For our December meeting the PPL Book Club is reading Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin, in which "two friends—often in love, but never lovers—come together as creative partners in the world of video game design, where success brings them fame, joy, tragedy, duplicity, and, ultimately, a kind of immortality." Yoga Every Wednesday at 10 a.m. Led by Barbara Ward and other instructors from the YogaConnection of Plymouth, yoga is gentle, mindful, and open to all levels and any body! A single-class drop-in is $12 and a four-class registration is $45 ($35 for Friends members). Friends members can also purchase an eight-class punch ticket for $80, which is valid for three months. Pop-Up Art School: Felted PoinsettiaThursday, December 7th at 6:30 p.m. Perfect to hang for a festive decoration or gift! Pop up Art School will show you how to make a mini felted poinsettia using a barbed needle to attach colorful wool to an embroidery hoop. You'll leave the class with a finished piece, basic tools and the knowledge you'll need to felt on your own. Note: Space is limited (first come/first serve). Winter Poetry Webinar Wednesday, December 13th at 3:30 p.m. Winter is coming! Why not curl up by the fire with some bright poetry, lively discussion, and pleasant people? Join Roz Kubek for a fun, informative, and low-key Zoom webinar full of poetry to lighten and enlighten you. Enjoy this chance to relax before the holiday rush and enjoy some good company and good reading as we kick off our webinar season. PPL Mystery Book Club Thursday, December 21st at 1:30 p.m. This month's selection is I Have Some Questions for You by Rebecca Makkai: Bodie Kane, a successful film professor and podcaster, is invited to teach a course at her former boarding school. During her time there her roommate was murdered and while she would rather let sleeping dogs lie, she finds herself inexorably drawn back to the case. And to its increasingly apparent flaws. Is the real killer still out there? And is she as much of an outsider to the Graby School as she’d once thought? Genealogy Night Tuesday, December 26th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Are you interested in finding out more about your genealogy? Do you have a cool story about one of your ancestors you want to share? Join in our monthly Genealogy Night to chat with other family history buffs! All are welcome to attend, from experienced researchers who would like to share tips or stories about great finds, to beginners who want to learn more about the research process and online resources. December Teen Take-And-Make: Gingerbread Tic-Tac-Toe Available beginning December 1st while supplies last We know teens are busy with school, work, chores, and more so we're giving you an opportunity to craft on your own time. Pick up a Craft Kit in the YA Lounge and create gingerbread tic-tac-toe board.

Storytime Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Toddlers (ages 2 to 5) and their caregivers can enjoy an interactive storytime with songs, dances, games, and stories that encourage language development and social skills. Each themed storytime is followed by a craft. There will be no Storytime programs from Monday, December 25 through Tuesday, January 2.

Baby Lapsit Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. Designed for babies and toddlers from 6 to 24 months, Lapsits are a great chance for caregivers to bond with their child while learning new rhymes and stories to share. Each program includes stretches, music, a story, and more followed by an open play time. There will be no Storytime programs from Thursday, December 28 through Thursday, January 4.

LEGO Club Tuesday, December 12 from 4:00-5:00pm Kids ages 5+ are welcome to visit and build with the library LEGOs. Bring neighbors, big siblings, and school friends and get creative. This month's theme is "Winter Wonderland!"

Gingerbread STEM Storytime (ages 4-8)Wednesday, December 13 from 4:00-5:00pm Ages 4 - 8 and their families can enjoy a reading of the STEM storybook "The Mighty Steam Engine" by Yvonna Ng and learn how a train works. Then build your own gingerbread train and decorate it with candy and icing! Anime Club Thursday, December 14 from 4:00-5:30pm Ages 11 - 15 are invited to watch anime, snack, craft and socialize. This month attendees will watch episodes 7 - 9 from Demon Slayer (Rated TV-14) and craft Anime Ornaments! This is a drop-in event; no registration is needed.
