Pembroke Public Library Book Club Tuesday, September 3rd from 6:30-7:30 p.m. For our September meeting the PPL Book Club is reading The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters, in which a four-year-old Mi’kmaq girl goes missing from the blueberry fields of Maine, sparking a mystery that will haunt the survivors, unravel a family, and remain unsolved for nearly fifty years. Yoga Every Wednesday at 10 a.m. Yoga is coming back to the Pembroke Public Library for its 32nd year! Led by Diana Gilchrist, Kim Norton, and other instructors from the YogaConnection in Plymouth. Open to all levels! A single-class drop-in is $12 and a four-class registration is $45 ($35 for Friends members). Adult Craft Night: Fall Pool Noodle Wreaths Monday, September 9th at 6:30 p.m. Learn how to make beautiful fall wreaths with library staff. Add a bit of fall-flare to your home, starting with pool noodles, burlap ribbon, and seasonal decorations. This is a straightforward craft that is certain to add a splash of autumn to any space. You’ll leave this craft with both a fantastic bit of home-made decor, and the know-how to make more at home! PPL Mystery Book Club Thursday, September 19th from 1:30-2:30 p.m. This month's selection is The Curse of Penryth Hall by Jess Armstrong: In the wake of the Great War, American heiress Ruby Vaughn made a life for herself running a rare bookstore, and trying to forget the past. When Ruby is forced to deliver a box of books to a folk healer living deep in the Cornish countryside, she is brought back to the one place she swore she’d never return: Penryth Hall, home to Ruby’s once dearest friend, Tamsyn. It’s an unsettling place, and after a more unsettling evening, Ruby is eager to depart. But her plans change when Tamsyn’s husband is found dead in the orchard, it brings back talk of a curse, one which may claim Tamsyn. Genealogy Night Tuesday, September 24th from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Are you interested in finding out more about your genealogy? Do you have a cool story about one of your ancestors you want to share? Join in our monthly Genealogy Night to chat with other family history buffs! All are welcome to attend, from experienced researchers who would like to share tips or stories about great finds, to beginners who want to learn more about the research process and online resources. Library laptops will be available to explore Ancestry Library Edition.

Plant Your Legacy Wednesday, September 25th at 12:15 p.m. Attorney Sam Allen, of Law Mom, will guide you through the process of crafting an estate plan that reflects your story, your passions, and your wishes for the future. This is your chance to learn how to make sure that the things you care about most are protected and passed on to those you love. In addition, as a special reminder of your commitment, attendees are invited to take home a planter, which symbolizes the growth and care of their legacy. September Teen Take-And-Make: Autumn Gnomes Available beginning September 3rd while supplies last We know teens are busy with school, work, chores, and more so we're giving you an opportunity to craft on your own time. Pick up a Craft Kit in the YA Lounge and craft a gnome magnet with a leafy beard.

Storytime Mondays and Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. Toddlers (ages 2 to 5) and their caregivers can enjoy an interactive storytime with songs, dances, and a story that encourages language development and social skills. Each themed storytime is followed by a craft.

Baby Lapsit Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. Designed for babies and toddlers from 6 to 24 months, Lapsits are a great chance for caregivers to bond with their child. Each 30-minute program includes stretches, songs, and rhymes followed by an open play time that allows babies to play and grown-ups to chat.

LEGO Club Tuesday, September 10th from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Kids ages 4+ are welcome to visit and build with the library LEGOs. Bring neighbors, big siblings, and school friends and get creative. This month's theme is "Junkyard Creatures!"

Raising a Reader (Ages 3-5)Thursdays, September 12th - October 10th from 10:30-11:30 a.m. Big Ryan’s Tall Tales welcomes all parents and their children (3-5 years) to come to this 6-week series on making stories where language comes alive. This program is generously provided by the South Shore Family Network, a program of the South Shore Community Action Council. Anime Club Thursday, September 12th from 4:00-5:30 p.m. Ages 11 - 15 are invited to watch anime, snack, craft and socialize. This month attendees will enjoy the first episodes of Hunter x Hunter (TV-14) and craft with perler beads. This is a drop-in event; no registration is needed.

Tackling Test Anxiety (Ages 5-8) Tuesday, September 17th from 4:00-5:00 p.m. Ages 5 - 8 and their caregivers are invited to join local author Kathleen Jeffrey as she reads her new book "Katie's Really Bad Day" and discusses methods to calm test anxiety in young children.
