For our November meeting the Pembroke Public Library Book Club is reading Magpie Murders by Anthony Horowitz, a modern take on the classic British whodunit - think Agatha Christie or Dorothy L. Sayers. This twisty tale takes the form of a book-within-a-book, as editor Susan Ryeland reads through the last manuscript of bestselling crime writer Alan Conway and gets caught up in the real-life mystery of his death. Magpie Murders encourages the reader to be a detective, with lots of hidden puzzles and clues sprinkled throughout.
