Monday - Thursday: 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Friday - Saturday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday: 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.
 
The library will be closed Saturday, January 1st for New Year's Day and 
closed Monday, January 17th for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

We're excited to have three brand-new online resources available for our patrons to access with their Pembroke Public Library cards! Read on to learn about each one.
 
Kanopy
 
Kanopy is a video streaming service that provides instant access to thousands of critically acclaimed movies, documentaries, Great Courses, and kids' favorites. Kanopy partners with studios like A24, The Criterion Collection, PBS, and more to bring you access to thoughtful entertainment. You can stream on any of your favorite devices! Kanopy is accessible via mobile and tablet apps for iPhone and Android, as well as from your desktop and SmartTV apps like Roku, Apple TV, and Fire Stick. To get started, visit pembrokepl.kanopy.com and select “Add Library Card."

Ancestry.com Remote Access Ending: Please note that as of January 1st, Ancestry.com will no longer permit Ancestry Library Edition access except on library computers. Users will still be able to access our account from all of our public computers during library hours.

Monday Movie Matinee: Jungle Cruise
Monday, January 3rd from 1:30-3:45 p.m.
In the Amazon, riverboat captain Frank Wolff encounters English researcher Dr. Lily Houghton, who looks to study a fabled tree with healing properties. As Frank and Lily navigate the risks of the rainforest, they cross a cohort of foes determined to use the tree for nefarious purposes. Inspired by the theme park ride at Disney. Yoga
Every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m.
Led by Barbara Ward and other instructors from the YogaConnection of Plymouth. Open to all levels. A single-class drop-in is $12 and a four-class registration is $45 ($35 for Friends members). Friends members can also purchase an eight-class punch ticket for $80, which is valid for three months.
Three More New England Poets: Mary Oliver, Gail Mazur, and Maxine Kumin (webinar)
Wednesdays January 12th, 19th, and 26th from 3:30-4:45 p.m.
Back by popular demand! Whether these contemporary writers are new to you or old friends, “virtually” join former English Department Head and current poet Roz Kubek in celebrating New England ingenuity by enjoying some quality poetry, thoughts, and laughter together. We are lucky to live to in a part of the country that fosters great writing, and these poets are some of our best! Each workshop is a lively presentation focused on one poet. You can attend one, two, or all three. Don’t worry about the technology! The poetry selections will be emailed prior to each session. Space is limited; please pre-register through our online event calendar.
Jam Night at the Library
Wednesdays January 12th and 26th from 6-8 p.m.
Two musicians (guitar and mandolin) of "moderate" skill level have created a space for like-minded musicians to share and play music together. All acoustic string instruments are welcome and others can be considered. Music will be from the 1950s right up to today. Genres include folk, folk/rock, pop, indie, singer songwriter, and others. Please bring some songs you like to play with sheet music so others can join in. Everyone will have a chance to play a few songs. Space is limited. A documentary about Anthony Bourdain and his career as a chef, writer, and host, revered and renowned for his authentic approach to food, culture, and travel. Documentary. 118 minutes. Rated R.

Pembroke Public Library Book Club
Tuesday, February 1st from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
For our February meeting the PPL Book Club is reading The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot by Marianne Cronin, a charming and funny debut about living each day to the fullest, a tribute to the stories that we live, and a reminder of our unlimited capacity for friendship and love. New members are always welcome! Teen Take-and-Make Craft 
Starting January 3rd, available while supplies last
We know teens are busy with school, work, chores, and more so we're giving you an opportunity to craft on your own time! Pick up a Craft Kit in the YA Lounge and create a beaded snowflake. These kits are available in the YA Lounge (teen section) while supplies last. No registration needed.
STEM Playgroup (ages 3-5) 
Mondays January 3rd, 10th, 24th, and 31st at 10:30 a.m.

Storytime
Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Toddlers (ages 2 - 5) and their caregivers can enjoy an interactive storytime with songs, dances, games, and stories that encourage language development and social skills. Each themed storytime is followed by a craft and play time.
LEGO Club
Tuesday, January 11th from 4-5 p.m.
Kids ages 5+ are welcome to visit and build with the library LEGOs. Bring your neighbors, big siblings, and school friends! LEGO Club is designed to give kids a safe, creative environment in which they can freely build with LEGOs, interact with peers, and express themselves. Each month has a challenge in which builders can participate, but we always encourage thinking out of the box.
Sing With Your Baby
Thursday, January 20th from 10:30-11:00 a.m.
Sing with Your Baby is a participatory music program for children age 0-3 and their caregivers. This program features fingerplays, singable songs, and integrated movement. Registration required; click/tap this link to sign up or call the library at 781-293-6771.
Puppy Dog Tales
Thursday, January 20th from 4:15-5:00 p.m.
Readers of all ages may read to a certified therapy dog to develop their literacy and presentation skills as well as build confidence and self-esteem. This program provides a supportive environment to practice reading aloud. This is a drop-in event.
Snowman Storytime 
Wednesday, January 26th from 4-5 p.m.
Ages 5-8 can join Miss Cory in a snowy storytime with the book The Biggest Snowman Ever by Steven Kroll.
