What's Happening in February?

 
Annual Black History Essay Contest
Throughout Month
Entries due by March 1, 2024
 
This contest is open to all Charleston-area students in grades 6 through 12.
One winner will be chosen from each age group (middle school and high school) and will receive a trophy and a $50 Amazon Gift Card. Entries are due March 1, 2024. Winners will be notified on April 1, 2024. 
 
Contest Prompt: Write a letter to a black historical figure and tell them how their work has impacted you personally. Tell them what they meant to you and how you want to carry on their legacy.

Dungeons & Dragons Beginner's Club

A beginner's club for teens to learn and play Dungeons & Dragons. 

Teen Art Lab: Let's Weave Coasters
Thursday, February 22 at 3:30-4:30 
 
Join us as we learn about traditional weaving, and practice by making coasters! This program will be in the Teen room. 
 

Heartbreaker Anti-Valentine's Day Party

Does love make you want to puke? Are you constantly rolling your eyes as people get flowers for Valentine’s day? Join us as we listen to break up music, do Valentine’s Minute-to-Win-it games, and eat sweets! Who needs love when you’ve got the library?
