And, for some, isolation and boredom may occasionally set in. Never fear! Your public library is here to keep summer 2023 moving in a bright and leisurely direction. Here is what you can look forward to at Butler Area Public Library over the coming months.

Friends of the Butler Area Public Library
| It’s June and you know what that means: graduations, Father’s Day, and vacations. Remember that books make fantastic gifts, and can even be great travel companions.
We recommend browsing those sales carts in the Library lobby regularly. With hardcovers at $1 and paperbacks at 50₵, it’s easy and inexpensive to find gifts for your favorite reader, or grab some books for the beach.
This time of year also brings the much-anticipated Summer Reading Program. Throughout the sign-up period, families with young readers should stop by the Library for a special 25₵ pop-up sale presented by the Friends group. On Saturday, September 30, the Friends of the Library will hold a book sale and host the Halloween Is Coming Flea Market & Craft Sale in the Library Sun Room. For $5, vendors can secure a table and sell their creepiest spookery at this Halloween-themed event. Space will be limited, so interested sellers should keep an eye on this space for more details. |
|
|
And finally, the Friends next big 3-day sale will be November 2-4, just in time for the holiday season. As always, Saturday (Nov. 4) will be the $5-Bag sale. You can expect a lot of gorgeous, gift-worthy books to help with your holiday shopping.
Be sure to keep checking the library's monthly newsletter to see what the Friends are up to. |
