January Holiday Schedule
The library will be closed on Monday, January 2 in observation of New Year's Day; and, Monday, January 16 to observe Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. | Games: A Perfect Cure for Winter Doldrums | Keeping cabin fever at bay in the winter months can be a challenge. Books, of course, are a great companion during the cold season. But, if you're looking for a less solitary activity, we suggest games. Tabletop & RPG (roleplaying) games are an engaging, fun way to connect with friends and family. If you're looking for game resources, ideas, or companions, the library is here to help. |

Check out a Game First Floor Periodical Section
With your library card, you can check out one of the library's tabletop games, featured in the rear of the first floor adult & periodical department. We've got nearly 50 games to choose from.
Games can be expensive and this is a good way to test them out before investing in something new. |

Regular Book Shop Hours: Mondays 11am-3pm, Wednesdays 12-2:30pm, Thursdays 2-5pm
A very Happy New Year to all! Obviously, we Friends can’t grant peace, good health or quiet times, but we CAN offer you plenty of books, CDs, DVDs, and audio books at low, low prices!
Our specials for January—all Christmas items are on CLEARANCE for 25c each.
Also, we are continuing our paperback Fiction book sale but now it’s FOUR books for $1. All other genres in paperback will continue to be 50c each, and as always, kid books are 25c. Books wrapped together are priced separately and not part of the sale.
Saturday, January 21st is Peter’s first Game Day of the year. The Friends will be on hand to sell a hotdog, bag of chips and a bottle of water for $2. We will also open the bookstore at 10:30 and will stay open until the hotdogs run out!
If anyone is interested in joining the Friends of the Library, we do meet once a month at 1:00 to discuss sales and other events we participate in. We used to have lunch during these meetings but they were discontinued because of Covid. All members of the Friends are required to work a shift in the bookstore. Currently the hours are Mondays from 11 am to 3 pm, Wednesdays from noon to 2:30 pm, and Thursdays from 2 to 5 pm. We also open the bookstore once a month on Saturdays and are hoping to plan an evening shift for the summer.
We hope to see you at the library! |
