Toddler Storytime is full of stories, songs, and fun for children birth to age 3 and their caregivers. Each week, we share songs, rhymes, and stories around a theme. It is a great opportunity for our youngest patrons to improve their literacy skills.

Bank On It: Financial Literacy for Families
Wednesday, February 3,10,17, & 24, 5:00 PM

Families with at least one child aged 5-8 are invited to join us for a series of Family Financial Literacy workshops on Zoom, 5 pm on Wednesdays (Feb. 3, 10, 17, & 24.). This program will engage the entire family, and is only open to a total of ten families.

Online Preschool Storytimes

Preschool Storytime is a program for 3 to 5 year olds and their caregivers. Each week, we will work on emerging literacy skills through songs, rhymes, and stories focused on a theme. Preschool Storytime is a great opportunity for our young library patrons to improve their literacy skills.

Take the Library to Your Child Day!

The first Saturday in February is traditionally called Take Your Child to the Library Day. Since our building is still closed to the public, we are re-naming it Take the Library to Your Child Day!
Stop by the library lobby from 9 am to noon to get a special grab and go activity pack, and tune in to our Facebook page at noon for a special storytime video!

Children's Writing Workshop

Zoom
Students in grades K-5 are invited to come learn about the PBS Writer's Contest, and get tools to help them start writing their very own story. This workshop will be held on Zoom.

Poetry Watch Party Friday, February 19, 5:00 PM Zoom Students in grades K-12 are invited to join Ms. Tiffany and Ms. Tristyn on Zoom, as we watch the inaugural poem written and performed by Youth Poet Laureate, Amanda Gorman. We will follow the viewing with some break out discussion groups and activities.

Teen Book Club - Dear Haiti, Love Alaine

A journey of self-discovery. A glimpse into the past. The importance of home. Teens (grades 7-12) are welcome to join us in reading Dear Haiti, Love Alaine by Maika Moulite and Maritza Moulite. This book explores the ideas of heritage, belonging, and family. Won't you come along?

Gaming Guild

New and existing members are welcome to join the Gaming Guild meetings this month! The games we are playing have not been selected yet, but we have quite a few tabletop, card, board, or video games to choose from.
