It's time for The Friends of the Library Spring Book Sale!
 
The sale will begin with a special members only preview on Thursday, May 4 from 2-5.  Please join The Friends if you would like to attend.

Young Author Celebration

Rishi Priyan Ramkumar is a local author and a tenth-grader at Bridgewater Raynham Regional High School.  Join us in celebrating his fourth novel, A Blank Cheque. Rishi will speak about his latest book and his writing process, followed by a Q and A session. 
 
This is a great opportunity for other aspiring authors to learn more about the process and for the whole community to celebrate a local author.  
The When's and Why's of Car Maintenance

ZOOM Event for Teens and Adults
 
The Why's and When's of Car Maintenance helps you get an overview of car maintenance from Chaya Milchtein of Mechanic Shop Femme. Learn when to perform specific maintenance tasks, and of course why.  This class helps you to be a more educated consumer so you can protect your investment. Questions are encouraged, so come prepared to learn maintenance in a way you never have before. 
 
Please register with an email address. A link for the program will be sent to your email the day of the program.
 
TAG Members and their families are invited to view the ZOOM together in the Library meeting room and do NOT need to register.

Local Author Visit--Kerrin Willis

Join us for a special visit from local author, Kerrin Willis, who writes historical fiction. Her second book, Strange Arithmetic, which was just released in March, takes place in our neighboring Taunton!  Strange Arithmetic is a novel with a dual timeline, set in 1944 and 2015, exploring themes of identity, belonging, and the strange arithmetic of the universe. Please register.
50 Hikes in Eastern Massachusetts

Madeline Bilis will talk about her book, 50 Hikes in Eastern Massachusetts. She shares her years of outdoors experience in the Boston area, providing 50 hikes for people of all skill and experience levels. This collaborative program is hosted by the Ashland Public Library.

Mindful Crafts--Junk Journaling

Are you overwhelmed by a bunch of unused craft supplies? Join us for a fun workshop where you will learn to transform your trash into treasure by creating a unique handmade journal to keep or give as a gift. Feel free to bring scrapbook paper, ink, stamps, magazines, doilies, books and pictures you may want to include in your project. Or come emptyhanded and we will give you what we have.

Join the Teen Advisory Group
 
Want to volunteer at the Library this summer?  Now is a great time to join the Teen Advisory Group. You’ll have opportunities to volunteer at library events, plan activities and have fun. You can use your volunteer hours to meet your school’s community service requirement. Open to teens from Raynham in grades 7 through 12.  To join, complete the application.

Our Library has a subscription to TumbleBookLibrary, and your family can access it from home! It’s unlimited, and it’s FREE for you to use!
 
TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of e-books for children in grades K-6.  They are a great way to encourage and foster a love of reading with your kids!
 
There are over 350 animated, talking picture books! The site also features books in Spanish and French, read-along chapter books, graphic novels, and non-fiction books, plus games and puzzles!  
 
Visit the Library website to access. Choose TumbleBooks from the Kids menu.
