Raynham Reads the Queen of Crime This September our 2021 Community Read celebrates the life and work of Agatha Christie, the best selling author of all time. Dame Agatha Christie, DBE, 1890-1976, was an author of sixty-six detective novels and fourteen short story collections. She is considered a master of suspense, plotting and characterization. To join in the Community Read, choose your Agatha Christie mystery! Books are available beginning Wednesday, September 1. Throughout September and October there are raffles, quizzes, mysteries to solve, and book discussions. One Book, One Community is a joint program of the Friends of the Library, the Raynham Cultural Council and the Raynham Public Library.

Use a printed template of a tree trunk and branches that will become a meditative reflection as you draw leaves that contain words to express your values or personal qualities. You’ll have opportunities to volunteer at library events, plan activities, earn community service hours and have fun. You can use TAG meeting hours for your school’s community service requirement. Narwhal and Jelly Party Saturday, September 18, 10:30 a.m. Narwhal is a happy-go-lucky narwhal. Jelly is a no-nonsense jellyfish. The two might not have a lot in common, but they do they love waffles, parties and adventures. Join us on Saturday, September 18 at 10:30 to celebrate the Narwhal and Jelly books. Grab & Go Crafts for Kids Kids love crafts. Each month we create a take-home craft just for you! You’ll find Grab & Go Crafts for kids in the library lobby. Choose from Mother Goose on the Loose, ages 2 to 5 (2nd Monday of the month), Book Explorer kits, ages 5 to 8 (3rd Monday of the month), or Tween Writers kit, creative writing games for budding writers ages 9 to 12 (4th Monday of the month)..
