With news of the increasing spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we want to reassure you that the library takes the health and safety of our visitors and staff very seriously and is closely monitoring developments.
In the meantime, these are the precautions and planning steps that we are taking:
We are removing the toys from the Children’s Room. They are touched frequently, are carriers for germs, and are difficult and timely to thoroughly disinfect. Additionally, they invite lingering in the library at a time when we want to start encourage social distancing.
We have always regularly wiped down hard surfaces (ex. computer keyboards, circulation desk). Now we have increased our efforts with cleaning surfaces AND circulating materials. We are making every reasonable effort to wipe down each book, DVD, audio as they are returned. If you are sick, please renew your items rather than just sliding them in the book return slot.
We wash our hands often and ask that you do the same!
If you are sick or in quarantine, please DO NOT come to the library. We have many digital resources that you can access from home (see below).
We have assembled useful COVID-19 resources from reputable sources. Please review below and check our website for updates.
Please know that we are taking proactive steps to mitigate the risk while maintaining service.

The following are excellent sites for information about the virus.
We urge you review, use, and share these sources from reliable organizations.
