Free Books @ Your Library!

Dear Valued Patrons,

                The closing of the library building in March has prevented patrons from checking out new materials in the weeks following.  We know that many of you have gone through the books you checked out before the closure, and you’re now looking for more material to enjoy.

                Well, our Library has the Best Friends! By that I mean the Friends of the San Juan Island Library.  The Friends raise funds all year long through Friends’ memberships and other fundraising events and activities to support library programs, special purchases of furniture and equipment, and more.
 
A Solution to Your Reading Needs!
Upon hearing that patrons are starved for more reading materials, they decided to offer up many of their current supply of books for FREE during the building’s closure.
 
Don Hendrix, President of the Friends’ Board, has set up a table in front of the Library with plastic tubs full of books for your reading pleasure.  Right now there are adult fiction, children’s books, and DVDs.  Selections may vary over time.
 
Stop by the Library, browse the bins, and take home a book or two for family members.  One sign on the table reads, “FREE BOOKS FOR YOU.  At this time the Friends of the SJI Library aren’t accepting book donations.  We are donating back to you!”

FRIENDS OF THE SAN JUAN ISLAND LIBRARY— Another caring group of Island people supporting other Islanders during this hard time.
