discover life's possibilities | Special Edition
The San Juan Island Library is thrilled to announce the enhancement of support services, made possible by its voter-approved levy lid lift. Thanks to the reinstatement of sustainable funding, the Library can continue offering a range of innovative services and resources designed to meet the evolving needs of our community.

INTRODUCING NEW SERVICES
Support for Printing & Faxing

Sustainable funding allows the library to replace its aging public printer/copier, extending printer capabilities. We now offer color printing and copying at 50 cents per page. We also offer faxing services for $3 for any one- to three-page fax, plus $1 per each additional page.
Evening Hours

One of the key enhancements is the extension of library hours. The Library is now open on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 8 pm, giving patrons more in-person access to library resources through new evening hours.
Notary Services

The library now has a notary on staff, able to perform basic notary services at no charge. If you need something notarized, please ask at the front desk. The notary’s general schedule is Tuesdays through Saturdays, but available hours vary from day to day. Please ensure you have a valid form of ID and that your documents are prepared. If your need is time-sensitive, please email amorris@sjlib.org to schedule an appointment.
You can find out about these expanded services (and more!) at our new webpage for Library Support Services.

INTRODUCING BIBLIOBOARD
Recognizing the growing demand for digital resources for local authors and creators, the Library has launched Biblioboard, an online database with tools for professional self-publishing and for creating, sharing, and discovering local creative content. Biblioboard will assist in collecting creative works from our community and allow them to be shared and enjoyed easily. There are training materials for these new resources. Go to sjlib.org/writers-corner/ for more information.

THANK YOU!

We invite all community members to visit the library and check out these improved services. With the highest voter turnout in the county since November 2022, and a higher approval margin than the Library’s 2011 levy lid lift, we are grateful for the community’s support, and recognize our responsibility to continue providing the high level of service our community expects.
