A History of Mourning with Old Colony History Museum Wednesday, October 25 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. Enjoy this spooky lecture from Old Colony History Museum. Explore Marshfield burying grounds through the graves of residents past. Learn about the evolution of burial and mourning practices, art and iconography, the artists who carved them, and the fascinating tales of some of Old Colony's most storied stones.

Tricks and Treats with Robert RivestSaturday, October 7 at 10:00 a.m. Join us for this fun, interactive program, Comic Mime Robert Rivest will take us through a series of spooky yet silly Halloween stories. We will also learn how to do some mime tricks and treat our friends to funny mime illusions and hilarious Halloween characters. Come in costume, Robert will use his mastery of mime and movement to help us move and act like our costume characters.

Eclipse Art Tuesday, October 10 at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 11 at 11:00 a.m. We welcome you to join us for a story and a simple art project that will explain a little about the upcoming eclipse. Make your very own sun to take home with you. This program will run twice and will be the same program both days, while supplies last. This program is best for school aged children and their caregivers.

Spooky Sewing Thursday, October 19 at 6:00 p.m. This hour long program will have us sewing pillows in spooky fabrics! Join us for some Halloween fun! This program is for children in grades 4-6 on their own. Children under 9 must have a grown up waiting in the library.

Spooky Craft Tuesday, October 24 at 6:00 p.m. Have some fun with Miss Jen with a spooky themed craft! This older kid event is for children in grades 4-6 on their own. Children under 9 must have a grown up waiting in the library.

Halloween Celebration Saturday, October 28 from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. While you're enjoying Trick-or-Treat Marshfield, stop by Library Plaza to have some spooky fun. There will be music and treats. Stay to hang out or just stop by! We can't wait to see everyone's costumes and have a little fun! Treats and other goodies will be first come first served while supplies last.

Eclipse Week in the Teen Zone Help us celebrate the upcoming eclipse with these exciting programs! Space Trivia: October 10 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. Put your space knowledge to the test at this pub style trivia event! Space-themed movies, songs, and pure science facts will be included! Origami Stars: October 11 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Continue celebrating Eclipse Week with us by making origami stars! We will have staff on hand to help you create your own mini galaxy! Paper Plate Planets: October 14 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Paint some paper plates as planets! Create a replica of a real planet or make up your own!

Halloween Lock-In Friday, October 27 from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. Once the Library has closed, and all the adults have tucked in for the night, come to the library to ring in spooky season at our second annual Teen Halloween Lock-In! Pizza, temporary tattoos, flashlight tag, movies, and more await! There will be snacks, so please make sure to communicate any allergies. *Attendees MUST be 12-18 years old! By registering for this event, you are ensuring that the attendee is between 12-18 years old and has reliable transportation to and from the library on the night of October 27.
