The Library is Officially Fine-Free! Fines do remain for specialized collections. This includes the Book Club Kits, the Wireless Hotspots, the Playaway Launchpads, and the in-house checkout for the laptops. Other than those collections, we will not be charging for daily overdue fines. However, patrons will continue to pay for lost and damaged items. Overdue reminders in the form of texts, emails and mailers will still be delivered to patrons who keep materials out past due dates.

Join us for an online discussion about how to make the most of your grocery dollars. Instructors from the Cooking Matters program will help participants learn to use what's in their pantry, finding more uses for those "hard to utilize ingredients," how to save foods you can't use right away, and introducing new foods to children while keeping food waste down. All participants will receive a $10 Kroger Gift Card after attending. (Must attend the live Zoom program to receive a gift card.) Space is limited. Registration is required. The FOLD Book Sale is held on the Second Wednesday of the month from 10am-6pm. Books, magazines, audiobooks, movies, and more are located in the 1st Floor Rotunda and in Room 113.
Items are sold as is. FOLD accepts cash, checks, and debit/credit cards. FOLD also has a small, ongoing sale located on the 2nd Floor across from the Adult Reference Desk. These sale shelves are available for browsing and purchase during library hours up until 15 minutes before closing. Henry Ford Centennial Library — Auditorium Sponsored by Friends of the Library - Dearborn This lecture and multi-media presentation covers three types of aircraft used in the early effort to maintain flight. We begin with the 1783 balloonists and progress into the Civil War observation balloon program. Along the way we meet Thaddeus Lowe; Michigan’s own General Custer; P.T. Barnum; Prof. Hogan from Jackson, Michigan; Count Ferdinand Graf von Zeppelin; Charles Lindbergh; and Amelia Earhart. You will witness the building of the Great Dirigibles of the Goodyear Zeppelin Corporation and see Henry Ford’s mooring tower at the Dearborn Airport. Old photographs and movie footage of the period make this an outstanding program.
