Talk with author Glenn Frankel 7:00pm The Dearborn Public Library, in collaboration with Literati Bookstore in Ann Arbor, will be hosting Pulitzer Prize winning author Glenn Frankel for a virtual discussion regarding his new book Shooting Midnight Cowboy - Art, Sex, Loneliness, Liberation and the Making of a Dark Classic. Mr. Frankel worked for many years at The Washington Post, winning a Pulitzer Prize in 1989. He has taught journalism at Stanford University and the University of Texas at Austin, where he directed the School of Journalism. He has won the National Jewish Book Award, was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and is a Motion Picture Academy Film Scholar. University of Michigan Professor and the Director of the Screenwriting Program Jim Burnstein will be interviewing Mr. Frankel.

Join Detroit poet Brittany Rogers for a virtual workshop on self-portraits in poetry. Participants will create an original poem during the workshop. Brittany Rogers is a poet, mother, educator, and native Detroiter. She has work published or forthcoming in Mississippi Review, Vinyl Poetry and Prose, The Offing, Obsidian: Literature & Arts in the African Diaspora and Tinderbox Poetry. Wednesdays: April 7 & April 21 4:30pm-5:30pm Gather your 2x4's, minifigs, and the rest of your building bricks to join our live challenges. Show off your skills while we collectively hum "Everything is awesome!". Did you get creative or try making a double decker couch? Inspire others with a show-and-tell. This program is for elementary school-aged children. You will need to use to your own building bricks. A Zoom log-in will be emailed to you after registration. No Kragle allowed!
