Being a community with a unique and diverse blend of history, culture and controversy, growing up as a Baby Boomer in Dearborn and its neighboring districts was an exceptional experience. This fun and historic talk will cover childhood-to-adult memories from the 1950s thru the 1980s with descriptive insight into the history, landmarks, businesses, schools, restaurants, and recreational areas, as well as the fast food we ate, the TV shows and movies we watched, the books and comics we read, and the music we listened to.

New Busy Bags are available at all Dearborn Public Libraries. Busy Bags are early literacy activities for pre-readers to help them get ready to read. Every child between the ages 3-5 may receive a Busy Bag. Limit one bag per child. May's busy bag theme is: Plant Match

Wednesdays: May 5 & May 19 4:30pm-5:30pm Gather your 2x4's, minifigs, and the rest of your building bricks to join our live challenges. Show off your skills while we collectively hum "Everything is awesome!". Did you get creative or try making a double decker couch? Inspire others with a show-and-tell. This program is for elementary school-aged children. You will need to use to your own building bricks. A Zoom log-in will be emailed to you after registration. No Kragle allowed!
