April Crafts for Kids & FamiliesSPRING FLOWER FRIENDS April 19-30 | Open Hours | Children | East Forest Park Branch We're celebrating spring by creating some colorful flowers with an assortment of craft supplies. All ages are welcome for this fun, family-friendly drop-in craft all week. DIY STAINED GLASS SUN CATCHERS Tuesday, April 19 | 12:30-4:30 PM | Ages 2-12 | Central Library Make your own "stained glass" sun catcher decorations using colorful tissue paper and string. PIZZA SEED BOMB Friday, April 22 | Open Hours | Ages 5-12 | East Springfield Branch Join us and make a Pizza Seed Bomb. We will put together seeds that would make for delicious pizza ingredients. Drop-in craft all day. COOKIE DECORATING PARTY Wednesday, April 20 | 2:30-3:30 PM | All Ages | Central Library Decorate delicious sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkle designs!

Take home your very own printed tote bag with an original design! No registration required. 3D Design Workshop Tuesday, April 19 | 3:00-4:30 PM | Ages 12-18 East Forest Park Branch -Makerspace Join us for a hands-on workshop covering the basic features of 3D modeling software! You can even design your own object to be printed in the Makerspace! We'll be using library computers during the workshop, but the software is cloud-based and you can use it from home as well.

This memoir is filled with warm stories about the author’s family. Saturday, April 16 | 12:00-1:00 PM | All Ages SPRINGFIELD LIFE DURING THE 1930S Join Jacob White, intern and senior history major at Westfield State University, as he gives an informative presentation on the East Springfield neighborhood during the 1930s when the East Springfield Branch Library was constructed.

Spring Into Focus: Photography Workshop April 6 | 6:00-7:30 PM | Adults 18+ | East Forest Park Branch Learn to Take Great Photos Using Only Your Phone! Join us at the East Forest Park Library for a Photography Workshop! The focus of the workshop will be how to use photography and compositional techniques that will help anyone look like a pro – even taking pictures from your phone! We’re partnering with the Springfield Photographic Society to provide excellent, hands-on instruction during the workshop.
