In partnership with the First Partner’s Office and the California State Library, State Parks is providing free vehicle day-use entry to over 200 participating state park units operated by State Parks for check out to library-card holders. The California State Library Parks Pass is valid for entry of one passenger vehicle with capacity of nine people or less or one highway licensed motorcycle.

Get out of the city and into the wilderness with a California State Library Parks Pass. Good at more than 200 participating state parks, passes are available at all Whittier Public Library locations and free for anyone with a library card.

Read 16 books with your pre-reader between June 19 and July 29 to complete the program. Record the books, earn badges, and enjoy the activities together this summer.

| for ages 6-12 |
|
|
Reading fun for children who read six books. Collect badges to complete the Challenge and be eligible for a prize.

Ages 13-17
Read and review 3 books and earn “Review Badges” to complete this challenge. For more summer fun, earn additional "Review Badges" and "Activity Badges" for more entries into the grand prize drawing. The minimum requirement to enter the grand prize drawing is 1 “Review Badge”. Once you complete the challenge you will
receive a completion prize.
