Mitten Tree
November - December

Make, Donate, Take
Our annual mitten tree at the Port Carling branch will be making its appearance this month. Knitters have been busy doing what they love... knitting! Not a knitter but would like to donate to the mitten tree? Purchased mittens, gloves, hats, and socks are welcome and needed, too!

Do you need something from the tree to keep you or someone you know toasty warm this winter? Feel free to take from the tree. At the end of the campaign, all remaining items will be donated to an appropriate charity.

Book Club

2nd Wednesday, Monthly

1:00 P.M - 2:30 P.M.
Port Carling

Join us on the second Wednesday of the month for thought-provoking  conversation about the books of the month. Some of you only read fiction. Some prefer non-fiction so, most months, a pre-selected fiction title and a non-fiction title will be discussed. Not to worry if you aren't able to read both books. Come out anyway and hear about the thoughts and opinions about each of the books. You might just find a new favourite author or genre! New members are always welcome. Space is limited. A MLP Library card is required to participate. No registration required.

Knitting Club

Thursdays

1:00 P.M - 3:00 P.M.
Port Carling

Drop in to share patterns, get inspiration, discuss your latest yarn project, or venture into book discussion and conversations with other knitters and needlecrafters of all abilities. Bring your project and get knitting! We encourage you to bring your own mug to also enjoy a cup of tea while knitting and chatting. No registration required.

New to the Shelves

You may have noticed that we have not received shipments of new items for quite some time. It is very unfortunate that our supplier, which we have used for decades, is no longer able to supply us with library items. It was a bit of a scramble but we have secured a new vendor and the orders have started to arrive! All items that are pictured, plus many more, are on our new shelves. There is a bit of a delay between the time we catalogue them and the time that they actually appear in our online catalogue, so don't despair if the links don't immediately work!
