Giving
Muskoka Shoebox for Women Holiday Drive
This holiday season, fill a standard-sized, decorated shoebox with approximately $50 worth of gifts and essentials that any woman might enjoy, and include a warm greeting or message of support. Donations received at the Port Carling branch of Muskoka Lakes Public Library will be distributed by Shoebox volunteers to local women’s shelters and community agencies serving women impacted by homelessness. Whether you donate a Shoebox virtually or in-person, it is more than just a gift. It is a rare and powerful reminder that we all matter.  Shoeboxes are accepted until December 1, 2021. Learn what is needed and how to wrap your Shoebox on the Project's website.

Mitten Tree

We have The Giving Tree and now we have The Mitten Tree thanks to some very talented and very generous knitters in our community! The Mitten Tree is for all. It has been decorated with new mittens, hats, socks, and scarves that are free for the taking, however, donations to the West Muskoka Food Bank are encouraged and welcome. We also welcome additions to the tree of new items, whether they are store bought or hand crafted. 'Tis the season for giving!
