We have a favour to askSummer 2023 has come to a close. The kids are back at school. It's almost time to put away the patio furniture and close up the cottage. Might we ask that you add checking your MLPL library account for any stray library items that you might have forgotten that you (or a grandchild, or daughter, or son) had checked out from the library this summer? Does your account show holds on books still pending that you had hoped to get read by summer's end? Please cancel the holds while into your account if you know you won't be able pick them up now that the calendar has flipped to September. We're only a phone call or email away should you need help! 705-765-5650 muskokalakes@pclib.ca

GratitudesThank you to all who took the time and effort to participate in our feedback survey. Although the vast majority who took the survey are quite happy with the current level of service, we also have some constructive observations and suggestions to ponder. And a BIG thank you to the Friends of the Library who organized and presented another fabulous silent auction. They couldn't have done it without the support of you and the community! A shout out of gratitude to our community volunteers who took time out of their very busy schedules to bring their skills and passions to share for Muskoka Reads, Something Learned, and S.T.E.A.M. sessions as part of our summer programming. We couldn't have offered such a varied array of topics without you! Did you notice the lovely flowers in front of both our Bala and Port Carling libraries? Thank you to the volunteers who garden throughout the communities to beautify our towns! Thank you to all who have donated puzzles, games, and books to add to our lending library or for our used book sale. (Did you know that we have puzzles and games for loan?) |
