2023 February MLPL Newsletter

Coffee Break

February is Heart Month, a time to bring attention to the importance of cardiovascular health, and what we can do to reduce our risk of cardiovascular disease.
Heart disease affects approximately 2.4 million Canadian adults, and is the second leading cause of death in Canada. Socializing is one lifestyle element that can help lower your risk of cardiovascular disease so why not come to the library on Tuesday, February 7th, at 10:30 a.m. to meet, munch, mingle, and chat with others from the community? We'll have the coffee brewing and the tea steeping and maybe a special guest. This is a wonderful way to meet and engage with community through the shorter days of the year. All welcome!

Old resentments begin to rise to the surface, and new tensions emerge between the locals and the outsiders. Still, when the resort throws open its doors for a New Year's Eve party, with champagne flowing through the night, none of the villagers can resist the invitation. The next morning, a body is found floating in the lake-and it's Rhys. Ffion Morgan is summoned to investigate, but with her deep ties to the village she dreads what she might find out about her neighbors, friends and family. And what about her own link to the victim?"
