MINIATURE CASTLE MAKING CONTEST
In time for the yearly Sherwood Robin Hood Festival, show off your creativity in Sherwood Public Library's 5th annual Miniature Castle Making Contest! Submit a homemade castle 9 X 9 X 9 inches or smaller between July 1 and July 14, and it may be displayed at the library or even win an award. More rules and information at: sherwoodoregon.gov/library.
Contest runs Monday, July 1, through Sunday, July 14.
Winners announced Friday, July 19.

All ages can pick out a free book starting June 1. No registration required. Choose your reading goal and pick up a prize book when you reach it, July 15 - August 31, and enter the grand prize drawing.

Our 8th annual camp-like event, for all ages! Enjoy storytime in Spanish and English, a free sack lunch, an outdoor activity, and a craft.

ALL AGES STORYTIME
Join us for interactive storytimes where we read books, sing songs, and play action rhymes. This event is designed for kids birth to 6. All ages welcome.

BABY STORYTIME
Introduce your child to the love of reading and books. We lead parents and caregivers in an interactive experience that will have you bouncing, tickling, singing, and enjoying books together with your baby. This event is designed for babies 0-12 months and their grown-ups.

ADULT SUMMER READING
Summer Reading is back! Pick up a free book at the library starting June 1, read any book or audiobook you’d like, submit book reviews online or at the library (through August 31). Each book review enters you into weekly and grand prize drawings!

ADULT BOOK DISCUSSION
Read. Be inspired. Discuss. We are discussing Horse by Geraldine Brooks -- about a painting of a racehorse in 1850 that captures the imaginations of future generations of Americans, and the history behind the painting. The first ten participants to register receive a free copy of the book. This event is sponsored by Friends of Sherwood Public Library.

Adventure Pass
Washington County Cooperative Library Services provides passes for small groups to visit local attractions for free! Use your library card to reserve and use passes to venues such as the Lan Su Chinese Garden, the Pittock Mansion, Oregon State Parks, and even the Portland Art Museum! More information is available at wccls.org/adventurepass.
 
Please note: each venue allows one visit per library card each calendar year.
