Our latest update: Due to the continuing health and safety concerns surrounding Coronavirus (COVID-19), our facility closed at 6 p.m on March 13, and will remain closed to the public until further notice, and all in-person April programs are cancelled.

Sherwood Public Library staff are available seven days a week to answer any questions you might have and provide resources for you during this time. Voting & Census Information
Get ready to participate in government and amplify your voice this year. Vote and be counted in the 2020 Census.

Voting in Oregon:
  • The next election is May 19.
  • The election will be for the presidential primary election, as well as other local measures, including Measure 34-297, a proposed levy for Countywide Library Services.
  • If passed, Measure 34-297 would provide funding to maintain open hours for libraries that serve all county residents, including libraries in Washington County Cooperative Library Services (WCCLS). The proposed levy would maintain a fixed rate of $0.22 per $1,000 of assessed value, running from July 2021 through June 2026. For more information, visit wccls.org/levy.
  • For more information on the upcoming election, including dates for registration and when voters pamphlets and ballots are being mailed out, head to sherwoodoregon.gov/ library/votingresources
What to know about the 2020 Census:
  • Everyone counts: Results of the 2020 Census will help determine how hundreds of billions of dollars in federal funding flow into communities every year for the next decade. That funding shapes many different aspects of every community, no matter the size, no matter the location.
  • For more information on the upcoming census, including important dates and census privacy information, check out our website at sherwoodoregon.gov/Census2020
