Rez Ball
by Byron Graves

These days, Tre Brun is happiest when he is playing basketball on the Red Lake Reservation high school team -- even though he can't help but be constantly gut-punched with memories of his big brother, Jaxon, who died in an accident. When Jaxon's former teammates on the varsity team offer to take Tre under their wing, he sees this as his shot to represent his Ojibwe rez all the way to their first state championship.

The Hunter
by Tana French

It's a blazing summer when two men arrive in the West of Ireland. One of them is coming home. Both of them are coming to get rich. One of them is coming to die. Cal Hooper took early retirement from Chicago PD and moved to rural Ireland looking for peace. He's found it, more or less: he's built a relationship with a local woman, and is gradually turning Trey Reddy from a half-feral teenager into a good kid going good places. But then Trey's long-absent father reappears.
