COVID-19 Contact Tracing

North Valleys Library Manager Jonnica Bowen, with WCHD contact tracing trainers, Luis and Cynthia.

We appreciate your patience as we work to reopen our libraries. Only five of our locations are currently offering in-person services, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t working hard for our community. Many of our staff are participating in a COVID-19 contact tracing program, an effort led by the Washoe County School District and the Washoe County Health District. This project aims to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and help get kids back in school.

For Kids
Coding with Cards

Computers help us learn, play, work, and communicate. We use them in many areas of our lives. Since computers can’t think for themselves, people called programmers must tell them what to do in code, a language of instructions that computers understand. Try this fun “coding unplugged” activity and learn some of the basics of coding.
